Indie composers craft The Legend of Zelda tribute album

OC ReMix revisits the grand history of Zelda with a new tribute and remix album, "25YEARLEGEND." The project draws together 18 experienced indie musicians, including the producer of Minecraft's tunes to spelunk by. It's available as a free download here.

Even though Zelda's music has been remixed umpteen times in successive games, this buoyant compilation surprises with a few creative interpretations, and a good selection of the most sacred songs. We've placed two of our favorites after the break.

If you listen to the whole album, keep an ear out for a cameo by an infamous Nintendo commercial.

LA is a bit of a tired location, there are many other interesting cities in the world besides Los Angeles and New York!

That being said, it should still be great. I wonder if they are withholding platforms as a lead-in to a Wii U announcement.

Only the second time in San Andreas, and many people remark that was the high point of the series.

And GTA IV's reveal didn't show platforms either.

[X360] Debut screenshot surfaces for Alan Wake Night Springs
The Spike Video Game Awards will be throwing the curtain back on the first trailer for Alan Wake's upcoming adventure, but Game Informer have posted up the first screenshot. Feel free to dissect it any way that you believe you can.
Here's two things: Alan is wielding a pretty unreal gas-powered pneumatic nail gun, additionally Night Springs is a 15 mile walk from where ever Alan is... so he has quite the walk ahead of him.

What are your hopes for Alan Wake's next adventure?

My hopes... Are that it's a prelude to a sequel.

Honestly, Alan Wake deserved so much more than it got. It was brilliant, and contends for a spot in my top 10 all time games. While I'm 100% looking forward to this and will purchase it the moment it's released, I can't suppress some sadness towards the fact that we may not see Alan Wake return in a full out retail game.

Amazon stuffed with Cyber Monday deals

It's the Monday after Thanksgiving, and there are video game deals on Amazon – lots of 'em. New releases like Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3 or Arkham City for $40? Yup. Dark Souls for $35? Yes. Kinect bundles with three games for $100? Sure. How about $30 Dance Central 2 to go with it? You can find all of Amazon's Cyber Monday deals right here.

And if that's not enough, of course there's a host of Lightning Deals up for grabs. Thrifty Nerd was kind enough to gather up all the clues for the deals that have been announced thus far. Based on the clues, it appears deals will include Rayman Origins, Driver: San Francisco, lots of accessories and, once again, Gears of War 3 and Dance Central 2.

PETA makes Flash game as part of their "Mario Kills Tanooki" campaign

Super Mario 3D Land is finally here and PETA isn't happy about it. Nintendo have pleased a lot of fans by bringing back the Tanooki suit, but PETA believe that it sends out a message that it’s acceptable for people to wear real animal fur.

“When on a mission to rescue the princess, Mario has been known to use any means necessary to defeat his enemy – even wearing the skin of a raccoon dog to give him special powers. Tanooki may be just a ‘suit’ in Mario games, but in real life, tanuki are raccoon dogs who are skinned alive for their fur."

Pretty deep stuff. PETA have even created a Flash game called Super Tanooki Skin 2D, where you play as a Raccoon who's had its further stolen from Mario and you have to catch him.
