New Nintendo eShop releases: Rush, Double Dragon, more Sega 3D Classics
Dear Santa, Seriously, guy, where is my The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on Wii U? It's out on the European eShop this week, but I'm not seeing any Best SNES Games of All Time in the North American releases. Why is that?
Wasn't I a good boy this year, Santa? Don't I deserve the chance to revisit a classic Zelda on my new Nintendo system? Wouldn't I get such joy from playing it alongside its 3DS sequel, A Link Between Worlds? That's all I wanted this year, Santa. That's all I've ever wanted.
Tell me, Santa: Do you want to watch the world burn? Is that who you are? I hate you.
Sincerely,
Tommy
PS: I would also like a Super Soaker 5000.

[PC, PS3, X360] Morrigan will play a major role in Dragon Age Inquisition
![[Image: game-news-image-2013-05ad8cf26c00510382f...c04224.jpg]](/game-news-image-2013-05ad8cf26c00510382fd440f79c04224.jpg)
That's right, folks. BioWare have confirmed that Morrigan's fate is set to be decided in Dragon Age Inquisition; which is news that shouldn't really surprise anyone.
Speaking to Game Informer the game's writer, David Gaider, and creative director, Mike Laidlaw, also confirmed that her role would definitely be more than a cameo. Gaider and Laidlaw are pretty excited to bring Morrigan back to the forefront with the duo claiming that they the core elements of Inquisition's story since about "midway through Dragon Age: Origins."
Sadly she will not be a playable character, but don't let that news downplay the importance of her return.
"[Morrigan] has a human role in this plot, which I think may surprise some people because they might only think of her as a plot device," said Gaider. "She has this big plot she's involved in, and while that's true to an extent, I'm taking her to a human place. That will make sense after the fact."
Okay, BioWare, you've got my attention. I've been anxiously waiting to see what was actually happening with Morrigan since the Witch Hunt DLC was released for Dragon Age: Origins. In fact, one of my biggest complaints about Dragon Age II was the fact that this plot point was completely ignored in favour of the disappointing adventures of Hawke and his gang of misfits.
Do you care about Dragon Age Inquisition after Dragon Age II? BioWare is still staying considerably quiet concerning the game's mechanics, which worries me. If it plays like Dragon Age II then I'm afraid I'll be very disappointed.

[PC, PS3, X360] Want a Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon sequel? The game's director does
![[Image: game-news-image-2013-8b9ba3ff69f1c8b56e6...46831e.jpg]](/game-news-image-2013-8b9ba3ff69f1c8b56e6a242b8446831e.jpg)
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon had one of the most bizarre conceptions in recent memory; it was announced on April Fool's Day and then surprised everyone by actually existing. It took Far Cry 3 in a completely different direction; removing us from a hostile tropical island and taking us to a hostile tropical island in the distant future of 2007 with lasers and plenty of 80's future action.
You should be playing it; luckily it is standalone if you don't feel like shelling out for Far Cry 3 (which was also an extremely enjoyable game).
Anyway, a recent interview with Michael Biehn, the star of Blood Dragon, on Major Nelson Radio has revealed that we could see the return of Sergeant Rex 'Power' Colt.
“[Creative director Dean Evans] was with me on the phone last night. He was pretty jacked up,” Biehn said. “He was going into a meeting today, to you know – I think he wants to turn it into some sort of franchise. He’s got a sequel in mind.”
I'm definitely with Evans; I'd love to see a full game built like Blood Dragon.
Thanks VG247.

Dragon Quest X Wii U confirmed for Spring 2013 in Japan
Dragon Quest X will be released in Japan for Wii U in Spring 2013, Square Enix announced today. Last month DQX producer Yosuke Saito told attendees at the Tokyo Game Show that next Spring was the aim, but the release window was confirmed today during a Nintendo Direct for Japan. An open beta is scheduled for February 2013. Saito also confirmed Square Enix is working on making Wii characters compatible with the Wii U version.
The MMO arrived on Wii back in August, selling over 400,000 units in its first week. A Western release for either verson remains unconfirmed, so don't start pencilling away the greater part of 2013 just yet.

Square Enix's TGS lineup includes Dragon Quest X Wii U
Square Enix unveiled its Tokyo Game Show lineup this week, revealing the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X is being showcased for the first time. Square, who released the Wii version of the MMORPG last month in Japan, says fans can expect new information about the game at the exhibition. Presumably that includes what the Wii U version has that the other doesn't, and how that affects the game's cross-platform play. Other highlights from the announced lineup include Hitman Absolution, the Realm Reborn re-launch of Final Fantasy XIV, and Black Ops 2, which Square Enix is publishing in Japan. The Tokyo Game Show runs through September 20-23.

[Wii] Nearly 11 minutes of Dragon Quest X footage
After the Japanese Nintendo Direct stream wrapped up a lengthy presentation concerning Dragon Quest X was shown. It seems like Square Enix are going out of their way to please as many fans as possible and are offering Dragon Quest IX-based character customisation, social spots such as customisable houses, and plenty of fields filled with very familiar monsters.
This is likely to be the Wii's swan song in Japan and is slated to be released on August 2. It will also include two hours of "kids time" free play each day as well, which is a nice addition.
