Many of you may remember the rumors that “Back to the Future” would be coming to WiiWare. Then, many of you probably remember the day we found out it would not happen, due to size restraints. Well, now you can rejoice again. Telltale Games is bringing “Back to the Future” to the Wii via retail box. Starting sometime in October 2011, you can purchase the title for $19.99. Telltale co-founder and CEO discusses this is a big win for their company, as well.

‘Back to the Future: The Game’ Tabbed as Inaugural Game for Platform

SAN RAFAEL , CA. – August 24 2011– Telltale Games, the leading independent digital publisher and developer of episodic interactive entertainment, today announced it has signed an agreement to publish video games for the Wii™ home console from Nintendo. The company also announced that its best-selling game, Back to the Future: The Game, which has achieved more than one million downloaded episodes on PC, will be the first title under this agreement to be published in North America at retail this October for $19.99.

“Securing a publishing agreement with Nintendo of America ensures that we can make our popular content available on every major console platform. This signing is a significant milestone in our long-term growth strategy, “said Telltale co-founder and CEO, Dan Connors. Back to the Future: The Game is a great fit for the Wii platform and we’re excited to bring it to retail this holiday.”

[PC, Mac, iPad] TellTale date first episode of Hector: Badge of Carnage

Telltale have a lot going on right now, but they have announced a release date for their next project: Hector: Badge of Carnage. The first episode will be titled 'We Negotiate with Terrorists', and it is slated to release on PC, Mac and iPad on the 27th of April. If you are bold enough to pre-order, you will be rewarded with a free copy of Puzzle Agent.

In case you don't know, Hector is a tough-talking, soft-bellied British cop known by some as the 'fat arse of the law'. Now it is up to him to either give in to the terrorists demands or watch fellow police be picked off one by one. Naturally, Hector is still on the fence as to which way he'll go.

The game has received great feedback from outlets such as IGN and Eurogamer and will be available for $9.99. Don't forget, pre-order and you'll get a free copy of Puzzle Agent. Or are you still waiting for Jurassic Park? 'Senseless Acts of Justice' (episode 2) and 'Beyond Reasonable Doom' (episode 3) will be available later in 2011.

Sad news if you were excited to be getting your hands on Telltale's Jurassic Park: The Game this month when it was due to hit as they have announced the title has been delayed. They have delayed it to further work on the game and enhance the quality of the release. The game will now be launching this fall across all platforms, meaning PC gamers will no longer be getting it first.

Whilst this may disappoint some fans, it is always better to delay a game and improve any possible flaws than release it and be disappointed with the final product. Telltale understand that some fans may be disappointed and are offering refunds on any fully-paid pre-orders. Not only will they give you a 100% refund, but they will also give you a free Telltale game of your choice to show that you are important to them.

Honestly, it seems like a really good move by Telltale because anything that leads to the final product being better is worth it.

[X360] Telltale Games Announce New Partnership with Microsoft

Xbox 360 owners may have noticed that several titles from renowned adventure-game developer Telltale Games have skipped out on their platform, including Tales of Monkey Island and, more recently, Back to the Future. It appears that is about to change though, as Telltale announced today that they have reached an agreement with Microsoft to publish games for the Xbox 360.

“Adding console support to our acknowledged expertise in digital downloads is another positive step in our long-term growth strategy,” said Telltale co-founder and CEO, Dan Connors about the new deal. “We are pleased to expand the size of our potential audience by encompassing the Xbox 360 console consumer and bring our vision of video gaming to them.”

As for which games might be headed to the platform, the developer tweeted today, "No announcements on what's coming to the XBox 360 from us yet but we have some exciting stuff in store! Stay tuned!"

Telltale Games currently has numerous games in development across multiple platforms, including Jurassic Park: The Game, Hector: Badge of Carnage, The Walking Dead, King's Quest, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Fables, and Back to the Future.

[MULTI] Telltale adds another project to their long list
That's right, folks. Telltale Games have added another project to their quickly growing list of in-development projects. This time it comes via a partnership with NBC Universal to develop a game based on Law & Order: LA.

Featuring the characters from the popular TV show, Telltale are saying that there'll be a heavy focus on interrogations and criminal investigations, with a nice healthy shot of courtroom drama to really help capture the feel of the show.

Are you excited for an episodic Law & Order: LA game from Telltale? Or should they focus on their many other games?

[PC] Telltale Debuts Premiere Trailer for Jurassic Park Title The debut trailer for Telltale's Jurassic Park game has surfaced on the internet, you can check it out below courtesy of GameTrailers. It features everyone's favourite T-Rex, some raptors and of course some humans.
Described as featuring QTE's heavily inspired by Quantum Dream's Heavy Rain and using a plot that runs alongside the original film's, dealing with Nedry's dirty plot that was of course foiled by his own idiocy and greed.

The first episode is due sometime in April 2011. Stay tuned for more details.

RE: [PC] Telltale Debuts Premiere Trailer for Jurassic Park Title Looks interesting, but I hope the sound and voice-acting in the trailer isn't indicative of the final product, especially in this type of dialogue-driven game. Even that T-rex roar at the end sounded kinda wonky....
