Killzone 3 holds off Bulletstorm for top UK sales spot

by on Feb 28th 2011 9:00AM

Killzone 3 beat out the other high-profile FPS premiere, Bulletstorm, on the UK charts last week, but it didn't out-debut its predecessor, Killzone 2. According to Chart-Track, Killzone 3 is the "14th fastest-selling" Sony title in first-week UK sales -- Killzone 2 is the fifth.

More shooting, and some kicking, got it done for third and fourth place in last week's sales ranking, as Call of Duty: Black Ops and FIFA 11 took the spots below the two debut shooters. The previous week's almost top title, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, slipped from second down to seventh.

Where's Just Dance 2, you ask? In fifth, of course. Unstoppable beast!

[PC] Bulletstorm Demo Will Arrive on PC... After Launch

[PC] Bulletstorm Demo Will Arrive on PC... After Launch [Image: game-news-image-2011-a67fc5b17be4553ee90...fcbbf6.jpg]
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners were treated to a pre-release demo for Epic's upcoming Bulletstorm, which left PC gamers out in the cold wondering if they'd get a chance to test the game out.

Thankfully, Epic's own Mark Rein has tweeted that while it won't be available before launch it "should be available shortly after". The console market appears to be the target audience for this title (especially the Xbox 360 version of the 'Epic Edition' coming with a Gears of War 3 beta invite) and it also isn't the first time a demo has arrived after the launch of the game itself.

All things considered though, are there any PC gamers genuinely annoyed about it coming afterwards? Or are you just excited to get a chance to take it for a spin before deciding if you'll put down the money for the product?
