NintendoWare Weekly: Heavy Fire: Black Arms, Bomberman Hero

by on Mar 7th 2011 2:15PM

Plenty of firepower on the Wii this week, with Teyon's war-themed light gun sequel Heavy Fire: Black Arms and the Nintendo 64's Bomberman Hero. Since last month's closure of Hudson Entertainment, the publisher has been responsible for every Virtual Console release (well, both of them).

DSiWare brings representation from two budget series, with the addictive-looking GG Series Horizontal Bar, and Go Series Earth Saver, which reimagines the plot of Armageddon as a Dig Dug 2 style game.

WiiWare Heavy Fire: Black Arms (Teyon, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points): Stop illicit arms trading in South America in this gritty, realistic light gun shooter sequel.Demo: Soccer Bashi (Icon Games Entertainment, 1-2 players, 0 Wii Points): In the future, soccer and Breakout become indistinguishable.Virtual Console Bomberman Hero (Nintendo 64, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): A rare single-player Bomberman, with emphasis on boss battles, story, and other things that you wouldn't expect from Bomberman.DSiWare G.G. Series Horizontal Bar (Genterprise, 1 player, 200 DSi Points): Swing from bar to bar to get to the goal of each stage as quickly as possible.Go Series Earth Saver (Gamebridge, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Set explosives on meteorites to break them up before they hit Earth. You don't want to miss a thing!JellyCar 2 (Disney Interactive, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): The platform racer about wobbly cars is now available on DSiWare as well.
