Publishers are starting to be into the idea of retail games on the 3DS eShop. Today, Natsume and Warner Bros. drop some of their recent releases on the store, including the 3DS version of Scribblenauts Unlimited. There's so much we almost didn't notice Ninja Gaiden missing its release date! A few more Wii U retail games from D3 and Ubisoft also make the lineup. There's even a Wii Virtual Console game, which makes this a historic week: for the first time, downloadable games have been released on four Nintendo consoles in the same week.
There's also a Skrillex video on Nintendo Video this week. So there's that.

After years of writing Rock Band Weekly, we're coming close to its conclusion, with the DLC announcements for April 2 the end of the line. 275 consecutive weeks (over five years) is an impressive run and Harmonix deserves much respect for pulling it off. Xbox 360 / Wii / PS3
As was the case a couple weeks back, every new track available for the Rock Band music store next week is a song off Harmonix's Rock Band Blitz. Reminder: All 25 tracks from the $15 Rock Band Blitz are compatible with Rock Band with purchase. Xbox 360 / Wii / PS3
The final weekly DLC release for Rock Band will be issued on April 2, Harmonix announced today. Due to other ongoing projects at the studio, production on Rock Band DLC has slowed in recent months. Up until April 2, Harmonix will release weekly DLC per usual.
Andrew W.K. is gonna "Party Hard" on the Rock Band music store for Xbox 360 right before the New Year, while other consoles are going to have to wait a bit. Next week's update is December 30 on Xbox 360, but due to the update schedules of other consoles, the hard partying will need to be fashionably late in January on Wii and PS3. Xbox 360 / Wii / PS3
Here's one to ponder: Jessie is regularly a female name. Jesse is the male spelling. With that established, Rick Springfield's "Jessie's Girl" takes on a different context, especially with a couple pronoun tweaks that we're sure Rock Band won't mind vocalists altering. Xbox 360 / Wii / PS3
Some legendary Aerosmith tracks will be available next week on the Rock Band music store. "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion," both off the band's 1976 album Toys in the Attic, are joined by some other classics and two tracks from the band's 2012 album. Xbox 360 / Wii / PS3
A demo on the Wii U eShop today will allow you to get your first taste of our #10 game of 2012, ZombiU. Perhaps that's not the best phrasing for a zombie game, but nonetheless. An NBA 2K13 demo will also be available.

Sublime, an inescapable late-90s radio presence... sorry? Oh, what's a radio? Um, a box that grabbed music from the air. Yeah, kinda like Pandora. Anyway, three of the band's mega hits are all assembled for next week's
It's a quiet week on Nintendo platforms (except, of course, for last Sunday's New Super Mario Bros. 2 launch), with just one new game per platform.
