LA is a bit of a tired location, there are many other interesting cities in the world besides Los Angeles and New York!
That being said, it should still be great. I wonder if they are withholding platforms as a lead-in to a Wii U announcement.

Only the second time in San Andreas, and many people remark that was the high point of the series.
And GTA IV's reveal didn't show platforms either.
