[3DS] New video for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney reveals puzzle gameplay

[3DS] New video for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney reveals puzzle gameplay
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is shaping up to be one of the best 3DS games we'll ever play, but up to this point we've yet to see much of the puzzle gameplay that the Professor is bringing into the mix.

Thankfully that changes today with Level-5 releasing a new gameplay video showing off the puzzles.

I'm definitely picking this up as soon as a localised version is announced, until then the Japanese will be able to pick the game up from November 29th.

Thanks for the heads up, Siliconera.

NintendoWare Weekly: Puzzle Quest, Overflow

by on May 23rd 2011 10:55AM

We certainly didn't expect Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords to be released on DS this week, mostly because it was released on DS in 2007. But new publisher 1st Playable Productions has surprised us all with a DSiWare version. If you missed out on it then, you can get it now without undertaking a heroic journey to the store.

In addition to subverting our expectations with a "new" game from four years ago, DSiWare also hosts a shmup about conserving ammo.

Meanwhile, WiiWare features a game about ... pouring liquids. But, like, with puzzles and stuff.

WiiWare Overflow (Digital Leisure, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): Place objects to guide fluids into the proper parts of machines. Try not to think about how much your onscreen avatar is likely being mutated by contact with these mysterious liquids.DSiWare Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (1st Playable Productions, 1-2 players, 800 DSi Points): Save the land of Etheria using your legendary gem-matching abilities.99Bullets (EnjoyUp Games, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): You have 99 lives, each one tied to one of your 99 bullets. Shoot judiciously.3D Twist & Match (Sanuk Games, 1 player, 200 DSi Points): Rotate 3D objects to match silhouette images.
