Young Justice: Legacy canceled for Wii U, Wii because of 'several factors'

by Sinan Kubba Writer RSS on Oct 28th 2013 9:30AM

Young Justice Legacy canceled for Wii U, Wii because of 'several factors'Cartoon Network's Young Justice won't be leaving a Legacy on Wii U or Wii, after developer Little Orbit and publisher Warner Bros. opted to cancel the spin-off for the two Nintendo consoles. According to a statement on the game's Facebook page, the decision was made because of "several factors," including quality issues and low interest from retailers.

The cancellation comes in the month before Young Justice: Legacy is due, but the action-RPG remains set for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and 3DS. The game will star the show's league of precocious heroes, chronicling the events between the first and second series.

[3DS] Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy confirmed for Western release

[3DS] Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy confirmed for Western release

Professor Layton's final adventure, Azran Legacy, was confirmed for Western release during the Nintendo Direct. The news will come as a relief for fans of Professor Layton in both Europe and North America, but it comes with a pinch of bad news.

A press release has confirmed that the game will release in Europe on the 8th of November both physically and digitally, but the American release date appears to be 2014 at this point. I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that this changes, because it is quite strange that Europe has been receiving so many large Nintendo releases ahead of our American brethren recently (including Pikmin 3 and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team).

Do you think we'll get any additional doses of Layton goodness after this game?

Metal Gear fans might find that they have quite a substantial hole in their wallets. A year and a half after releasing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Konami has announced a bigger and better collection in the "Legacy Collection" due to hit the PlayStation 3 in North and South America this June.

The Legacy Collection includes the original Metal Gear Solid, HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and Peace Walker, the "Trophy Edition" of Metal Gear Solid 4, and topped off with Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and a couple of digital graphic novels by Ashley Wood.

"We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console," said Konami Digital Entertainment president Tomoyuki Tsuboi in a press release. "With the collection's multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today."

A price for the bundle has not been announced, nor is it clear if or when the bundle might hit the rest of the world.
