[X360] Debut screenshot surfaces for Alan Wake Night Springs

[X360] Debut screenshot surfaces for Alan Wake Night Springs
The Spike Video Game Awards will be throwing the curtain back on the first trailer for Alan Wake's upcoming adventure, but Game Informer have posted up the first screenshot. Feel free to dissect it any way that you believe you can. [Image: game-news-image-2011-522b75d8bf907338df3...448fa1.jpg]
Here's two things: Alan is wielding a pretty unreal gas-powered pneumatic nail gun, additionally Night Springs is a 15 mile walk from where ever Alan is... so he has quite the walk ahead of him.

What are your hopes for Alan Wake's next adventure?

RE: [X360] Debut screenshot surfaces for Alan Wake Night Springs
My hopes... Are that it's a prelude to a sequel.

Honestly, Alan Wake deserved so much more than it got. It was brilliant, and contends for a spot in my top 10 all time games. While I'm 100% looking forward to this and will purchase it the moment it's released, I can't suppress some sadness towards the fact that we may not see Alan Wake return in a full out retail game.

I found my wii!

'Family Game Night 4: The Game Show' got bored with board games

by on May 3rd 2011 4:15PM

The crazy thing is: Yahtzee played with a giant rubber bawl and bowling pins, instead of the traditional cup and dice, is actually a better idea for a video game -- especially one compatible with Kinect and PlayStation Move.

The crazier thing is: The Family Game Night 4 video game includes fewer than half of the minigames featured in the Family Game Night television game show on which it's based. You can't even begin to imagine how "Operation Relay" is going to work in your living room -- you just have to wait for the EA Hasbro division's next sequel.

Family Game Night 4: The Game Show will be released this fall for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and features support for motion control on all three platforms. It includes five minigames adapted from The Hub channel's Family Game Night game show, including "Bop-It Boptagon," "Connect 4 Basketball," "Scrabble Flash," "Sorry! Sliders" and "Yahtzee Bowling."

Let's get unsettled with this Night of the Sacrifice trailer

by JC Fletcher on Jan 21st 2011 10:00PM

Marvelous's two-player Wii horror game Ikenie no Yoru (Night of the Sacrifice) is much scarier-looking than any game starring pastel human silhouettes should be. After the break, you'll find blood-splattered walls, creepy noises, and -- who just leaves a mannequin on a couch? Why would you do that? Additionally, if you happen to read Japanese, Marvelous is posting a short "horror novel" on the game's website. Watch out for occasional screamers.
