Wii to Wii U System Transfer

One of the features of Wii U is the ability to bring most of your Wii save data and downloaded games over via a system transfer. In order to make this happen, you need both your Wii and Wii U connected to the internet and an SD card of at least 512MB. After downloading the app on each device, the on-screen instructions will walk you through this relatively pain-free process. One bonus, though, is the “progress bar” Nintendo uses during the transfer. In keeping with the DS to 3DS transfer, we again see the use of Pikmin to move the data to your new console. Because I thought this was a great sequence, I captured it for those who may choose not to transfer their own data.

(I apologize for the unsteady camera. I was not prepared for this, as it was VERY late, and I had no clue they would have such a great “cut scene” during the transfer.)
