Bethesda announced just prior to E3 that it would be releasing a remastered version of Doom 3 for PC and consoles, called the BFG Edition, and today we got a better idea of what to expect and when to expect it.
Doom 3 BFG Edition will be released on October 16th of this year in North America and three days later in Europe. Not only will players get a remastered Doom 3 with improved HD graphics and sound, but also the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack (also remastered), new content called "The Lost Mission", and Achievement/Trophy support. Bethesda is also throwing in the original Doom and Doom II games for good measure. And yes, there is a new armor-mounted flashlight to rid players of the annoying flashlight mechanic.
The package will cost $29.99/£19.99 on PC and $39.99/£29.99 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
