[PC] Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs scaring up PC audiences later this year
[Image: game-news-image-2012-6d5d3824d043d6e12c4...411d4f.jpg]Recently we reported about how fans were feverishly working to decipher the cryptic clues being left by Frictional Games about their next title that would presumably be an Amnesia follow-up.

Now it seems we have some confirmation though, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is coming to PC later this year in a pairing between Frictional Games and Dear Esther developers, thechineseroom. No firm release dates have been confirmed yet, but the two studios are aiming for a Halloween launch. thechineseroom will be developing and Frictional Games will be producing the title.

The game will not be a direct sequel to the original Amensia, but it will be set in an alternate history in the same universe. It will be set in 1899 and follows a wealthy industrialist known as Oswald Mandus who has recently returned home from "a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy", which should ring a few bells. He finds himself struck by a fever and is haunted by dreams of a dark machine, suddenly he mysteriously regains conciousness. Unbeknownst to Mandus several months have passed and as he awakens from his slumber the roaring engine of a machine suddenly comes to life.

Excited yet? If you haven't played Amnesia: Dark Descent yet I highly recommend that you do! Seriously. I could sit here for hours and talk about how much I love that game, give it a shot.
