[3DS] Celebrate Kid Icarus: Uprising with a Nintendo powered tournament
Kid Icarus: Uprising is hitting the 3DS on the 23rd of March worldwide, and to celebrate Nintendo is throwing a celebratory tournament. It will start on the 8th of March and will culminate with a national tournament on the 22nd of March. The final national championship event will take place at the GameSopt store at Broadway and 84th Street in New York. The event will also feature a special pre-sale opportunity that will allow fans to purchase the game one day before it officially goes on sale in North America.

The bracket-styled tournament will include regional competition at select GameStop locations in San Francisco (March 8th), Orlando, Fla. (March 11th), Los Angeles (March 15th) and New York (March 22nd). Winners from each of the brackets will be eligible to win prizes including and trip to New York with all expenses paid to participate in the championship as well as a variety of exclusive Kid Icarus-themed items.

Those who do not participate in the event will still be able to attend in order to play the game ahead of launch, so it is sounding like a good chance to take the game for a spin.
