To celebrate Final Fantasy XI's 9th anniversary, Square Enix is releasing a new collection. Want to know the utterly and unnecessarily elongated name? Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition is the name of the new collection.
So what's the major difference? Well, there is none really. The only difference is that this collection pulls together all content that has been released up until now and squashes it into one downloadable version. You will also get access to the 'Destrier Beret' item with the purchase, the item will give new-comers some nice bonuses to start off their adventure.
The new collection will be available through Steam, Nexway and Metaboli as of the 16th of May for roughly $19.99. If you are yet to dive into Square's online entry into the long-running Final Fantasy then this might be the perfect opportunity.
