[NGP] MCV sources say NGP will hit Europe this year
MCV is currently running a story which claims that third party licensees are insisting that Sony's new handheld will drop in Europe before Christmas.

Release dates and other such information have been on the quiet side for Sony, who are instead focusing on showing off the handheld's feature and talking up the games that will release on it. When Kaz Hirai was asked about NGP release windows at the event in January, he said they'd "begin rolling out this year." However, SCEA boss Jack Tretton quickly calmed the hype storm with, "it's very difficult to have the quantities to be able to launch on a worldwide basis on the same date" and that "our goal is get at least one territory out by the end of holiday 2011".

Everyone believed that one territory would be Japan, but if these sources are accurate then it looks like it could be Europe.

Hopefully E3 will shed some light on matters.
