It assumed that whenever one reads the Half-Life 3 in the headline of any news story that rumour must additionally be attached, this story is no different.
Okay, so with that out of the way we can get into the meat of this story. Inside Gaming Daily has been doing some snooping and came across two tweets that could be related, one is a quote from Half-Life 2 by IGN's Twitter feed and another is from Valve informing fans to be sure to check all of their feeds. Those could be related, they could not be.

Things are about to get somewhat more interesting though. Observe one web domain: http://orange.half-life3.com/apache2-default/ which links to a blank page except for the text "It works!"
Now, this could mean anything really, I mean the url contains the infamous Half-Life 3 tag but that's far from any sort of confirmation. However, when you check the WhoIs on the domain you'll discover that it is in fact owned by the guys at Valve. Those who know a thing or two about domains will also know that '/apache2-default/' is a typical sight for when people have just installed apache, a website engine.
Not to mention this is just a little over a week after we learned about Gabe's cute little trick, using Ricochet 2 as a code word instead of saying Half-Life 3. Here's the story on that in case you missed it.
Obviously, this is not confirmation. It could just be nothing. But Half-Life 2 came with the Orange Box, maybe Valve is planning another Orange Box with a new Half-Life? Weigh in on this topic in the discussion, E3 is just around the corner after all!
