[3DS, Vita] 999 team's Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die is familiar
It is uncertain how connected 999 is meant to be to the developer's follow-up project, Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die (as it is being unofficially called online), but the trailer certainly showcases some similarities.
The "Nonary Game" and the associated watches return in this game if the trailer is anything to go by. In case you didn't play 999 (in which case, change that) the watches each bear a number that is assigned to each of the unknowing participants. The trailer even features Zero, the perpetrator behind the original deathtrap in 999.
The game is slated to release on both Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita, but if you have a regular Nintendo DS then track down a copy of 999, you can thank me later.

[PC] GameStop pulling PC copies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution
After the jerk move of removing the free OnLive codes from their PC copies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution GameStop are now taking the next step. An e-mail has been sent out detailing the fact that the OnLive codes clash with GameStop's upcoming cloud gaming service (which is now confirmed thanks to the e-mail) and as a result all unsold copies are now being returned in an agreement with Square Enix.
The PC version of the game has also been removed from GameStop's online store, but the console version is still available (if you feel like giving money to the evil corporation, that is).

[Multi] Swery considering new games, more Deadly Premonition on the cards
I don't think I'm alone in being surprised at how popular Deadly Premonition has become. The sleeper hit has a future as well, thankfully. The creator, Hidetaka Suehiro, who is also known as 'Swery' has announced intentions to start some new projects, which will also include more Deadly Premonition.
The creator told Metro that he has some new ideas flowing and that he is currently "making a storyline for a completely new game." Fans of Deadly Premonition will be excited to hear that he is [i]"trying to think of ways to create a sequel, that's definitely on the table, trying to create a prequel is also definitely on the table; and also a projet to have more people play Deadly Premonition."
He didn't have much more to say than that, so eager fanatics can start playing their guessing games. Maybe the west will finally see the release of the PS3 version of Deadly Premonition, which is currently only out in Japan. The previous issue that Swery had was that any new projects required money, which isn't a problem after the success of Deadly Premonition and now several publishers have been in contact with his company.
The original Deadly Premonition is available now on Xbox 360.
