Sony were pretty happy to talk up the PlayStation 4's ability to play content as the content itself is actually downloaded and installed. The idea was sort of trialled with Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, however that was also because the game was a whopping 24GB to download, if I recall correctly.
However, now Microsoft has also confirmed that their console will include a similar feature with Polygon.
That's good news! Additionally, the Xbox One will join the PlayStation 4 in allowing gamers to play disc-based games while they are installing the game to the system's hard drive. However, all disc-based games will require an installation, so this feature makes a lot sense.
What do you think? This is definitely a good idea and I'm glad to see that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users will benefit from its inclusion.
