Ghost Recon: Future Soldier maintains top UK sales spot

by Writer RSS on Jun 6th 2012 10:45AM

Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Rockstar's Max Payne 3 remained bosom buddies atop Chart-Track's UK sales chart for another week. The team of Ghost Recon kept their advantages position on the high ground for a second week, with Payne providing back-up in second.

Capcom's love or hate RPG Dragon's Dogma slipped one spot into fourth, with FIFA 12 running up the field from fifth into third.

Nihilistic's Resistance: Burning Skies for Vita debuted at the 12 spot. Chart-Track notes the previous handheld Resistance title was Resistance: Retribution for PSP, which failed to crack the top 40. The UK top ten invade after the break.

[Image: game-news-image-2011-0994ef62f899b90484b...66c642.jpg]
Ubisoft originally announced that a beta for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier would be likely to drop during this Summer but then the game was delayed until 2012. This kind of killed hopes for a beta during the Summer, however via Twitter we've discovered that there will be a beta in January 2012.

"We know you have been asking about the beta. We're excited to announce that the MP beta will be launching in January 2012!"

So you'll need to keep those weapons holstered for now, but January 2012 isn't that far away... is it?

Captain America: Super Soldier taking aim at July release date

by on Mar 21st 2011 3:55PM

With the Captain America film hitting theaters on July 22, it makes a lot of sense that the game will arrive around the same time -- July 19, actually, as revealed this morning by Sega. Alongside the new release date, Sega handed over several new screens of the Captain in action on Xbox 360/PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Wii.

There's also the totally sweet shot of Cap hanging out in an airplane -- straight chillin' -- as seen above. You just know that any second he's gonna totally flip out. Aaaaany second now ...

Yuji Naka's 'Rodea the Sky Soldier' in motion

by JC Fletcher on Jan 25th 2011 1:10AM

At first, you'll probably be underwhelmed with Rodea the Sky Soldier, Yuji Naka's airborne Wii/3DS game, thanks to the anime stereotypes and mid-90s CG look. But as soon as the gameplay starts up in this trailer, it gets more impressive, looking like a high-speed NiGHTs with rail shooter elements.
