[E3'12, X360] Alan Wake 2 domain updated ahead of Microsoft's E3 conference

[E3'12, X360] Alan Wake 2 domain updated ahead of Microsoft's E3 conference

Okay, bite into a nice mug of salt right here. But signs are pointing towards a potential Alan Wake 2 reveal during E3. Earlier a tweet surfaced hinting towards a possible reveal but not we have a new slice of tangible evidence.

Way back in 2005 Remedy registered the domain alanwake2.com. That's not news, but when it was last updated... now that's news. It just so happens that the website was last updated today.

Call it nothing, call it optimism. We are only a few hours away from Microsoft's E3 conference where it is expected we'll learn the truth.

[3DS] Nintendo of America registers web domain for Fire Emblem: Awakening

[3DS] Nintendo of America registers web domain for Fire Emblem: Awakening
[Image: game-news-image-2012-b4844d9baddb7cb7e57...0bd768.jpg]
Fire Emblem: Awakening has come out on top of the charts in Japan this week, selling over 240k units and beating every other title in the top 20 combined. In case you don't know, that's awesome news for the Fire Emblem franchise.

Nintendo of America has been relatively quiet on the topic of localising it and although it would be absurd for them to note bring it across, stranger things have happened. We may have gotten one step closer to confirmation with Nintendo registering the web domain http://whois.domaintools.com/fireemblemawakening.com, which might hint at the fact that it could happen! It is entirely likely that Nintendo could be sitting on the announcement for E3 but I suspect we'll be hearing something soon.

At Nintendo Direct some new DLC was also confirmed, one of the characters just so happens to be my favourite (Roy from Fire Emblem: Fuin no Tsurugi) so I'm extra excited for any news on an english language version.

Just Dance Propel domain registered by Ubisoft

by on Mar 7th 2012 12:00PM

Ubisoft has registered the domain JustDancePropel.com, reports Fusible. The domain itself was registered on March 2, though the URL currently leads to a domain parking page. Far be it from us to suggest that Ubisoft might be developing another entry in its fabulously successful Just Dance series, but we're going to go out on a limb and say that might be the case. In theory, said game would be titled Just Dance Propel. It's either that, or some sort of partnership with fitness water.

Nintendo secures Wii U-related domain names

by on Jun 14th 2011 6:40PM

Nintendo went on a domain shopping spree recently, grabbing a few domain names related to Wii games (like rhythmheavenwii.com and kirbywii.com) as well as a lot of domain names related to Wii U, referencing things like New Super Mario Bros. Mii and several unannounced games and items like "Wii Zapper U," "Wii Fit U," "Wii Party U," Wii U Balance Board, and even "Wii Music U," most with variations like "Wii U Music." All redirect to nintendo.com at the moment. Check the full list after the break, as reported by Nintendo World Report.

While we'd love to say that we had an early look at, like, the entire software and peripheral lineup for next year's console, this looks a lot more like Nintendo just registered everything it could think of, just in case. The duplicate registrations for name variants support this theory. Take that, thwarted domain squatters!
