We hope your body is ready.
Nintendo to Offer Live Coverage of E3 Expo 2011 PresentationVideo game fans around the globe are invited to bookmark http://e3.nintendo.com in their browsers as Nintendo prepares to offer a virtual front-row seat at this year's E3 Expo in Los Angeles. A live webcast of Nintendo's E3 Expo 2011 media presentation will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, June 7. Immediately following the presentation, fans can enjoy additional Nintendo Network coverage on the site, including interviews, game trailers and special video segments. A variety of exclusive content will also be available on the Nintendo® Channel, which is accessible to anyone with a Wii™ console that is connected to the Internet.
The E3 Expo, scheduled to take place June 7-9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is among the year's biggest events for the global video game industry. Exclusive Nintendo Network programming will be viewable at http://e3.nintendo.com and on the Nintendo Channel throughout the week, offering the latest information and updates on Nintendo's announcements.
As we march closer and closer toward this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, opinions on what the big three hardware makers are going to reveal in Los Angeles are being spouted off everywhere you go, online and off. Japan is no exception, and Famitsu magazine obliged this week by printing some remarks from Eiji Maeda, senior analyst for SMBC and the man they usually go to for predictions at times like these.
“Nintendo is definitely the company attracting the most attention at E3 this year, their Wii successor in particular,” Maeda was quoted as saying. “The Wii was a success because of the make-people-smile aspect of it that is such a key part of Nintendo’s goals, so it’s likely the new system will follow similar lines. Networking and online communication has become a vital part of any home system, and I think they will offer some kind of new service related to that. The Wii presented a comparatively large number of hurdles to getting online, and I think Nintendo will try to up the percentage of connected consoles with the new system.”
For the 3DS, Maeda pushed the fact that Nintendo needs to regain some of the steam they’ve lost after launching the system in February. “Nintendo aims to sell 16 million 3DS systems in 2011, and they’re going to need to introduce titles that can bring them toward that goal,” he said. “Some of the titles they’ve announced, like Mario, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, will pretty much have to come out within this year, and the 3DS’s E3 presence will likely revolve around those titles. It’ll be a platform for Nintendo to re-emphasize the 3DS’s abilities.”

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke highly of the Rockstar team, alluding to it as "the best creative talent in the industry." He added that Take-Two looks forward to working with Rockstar for "many years to come." In other words, it looks like Take-Two is holding on tightly to what is undoubtedly its biggest gun.
The Wii lagged behind with 172,000 units sold, while the remaining members of the DS family sold a combined 257,000 units. May should fare better for Nintendo on the Wii side of things, with an impending price cut on the horizon, one that will see consoles bundled with a copy of Mario Kart Wii and a wheel accessory.
As for the PS3, MarketWatch reports 204,000 units were sold -- not bad considering all of the, well, you know. Still, that's not a figure confirmed by Sony, who we've contacted for comment. We'll update you when we hear back.
Update: Gameblog.fr was corrected by Christophe Balestra regarding the chronology, and it was confirmed that Uncharted Portable will be set before Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
Naughty Dog Co-President Christophe Balestra in an interview with gameblog.fr, that was translated by eurogamer, shed some details regarding the upcoming Uncharted title that's headed to Sony's upcoming NGP handheld.
According to the interview, Uncharted Portable (Working Title) will be set between Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves before the events of Uncharted: Drakes' Fortune, and will "most likely" feature interaction with Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
Balestra also said that Uncharted Portable will have a different pacing structure than it's predecessors. Sony Bend wants to focus on more exploration and less gunfights to allow the players more time between action sequences so they can play in short bursts.
With that, we're left with the hope that we'll see more of Uncharted Portable at E3 2011. What do you expect out of this new Uncharted title that's isn't coming from Naughty Dog?

It is almost here. Soon, we will see the next home console from Nintendo. It will surely be a big day in the history of the gaming company. As the big day gets closer and closer, I thought it would be fun to look back at the history of the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Since its inception in 1995, we have witnessed many great announcements and debuts. Despite the changes E3 has made through the years, including moving to different cities, shrinking, and growing, many console manufacturers and game developers have used E3 to show off many of their new equipment and games. Here is a brief history of Nintendo at E3.
1995
Nintendo talked about its next home console, known at the time as the Ultra 64. The big news was the company’s unveiling of the Virtual Boy. This attempted venture into the world of 3D ended up as Nintendo’s only “commercial failure.” SNES games Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong 2, and Earthbound were also highlighted.
1996
Nintendo unveiled the Nintendo 64 and the first 3D Mario game, Super Mario 64. Pilotwings 64, Shadows of the Empire, and Wave Race were also featured. The Virtual Boy got a significant price drop, and the Gameboy Pocket was shown.
1997
Nintendo featured Nintendo 64 games such as GoldenEye 007, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Banjo-Kazooie, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
1998
Nintendo shows off the final version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64, which goes on to be a hit among Zelda fans, and arguably the best Zelda game. Perfect Dark was also announced as a follow-up to Rare’s Goldeneye 007. The Gameboy Color was also given a release date, and Pokemon was featured.
1999
Nintendo 64 games Star Wars Episode 1 Racer and Donkey Kong 64 were shown. The Gameboy game, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is also featured. Near the end, Nintendo gives a sneak peak at the development of their next home console, codenamed Dolphin, which would use DVDs for games instead of cartridges.
2000
Nintendo kept quiet about their upcoming Dolphin console. Instead, they focused on Nintendo 64 games like Conker’s Bad Fur Day and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. They also said little about the upcoming Gameboy Advance.
2001
Nintendo featured their newest console, the Nintendo GameCube. They also showed off games, such as Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Cel Damage, Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, Super Monkey Ball, and Star Fox Adventures. A large focus was placed on the Gameboy Advance and games like Super Mario Advance, Advance Wars, and Golden Sun.
2002
Nintendo GameCube games Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Adventures, Timesplitters 2, Resident Evil Zero, Wario World, Phantasy Star Online, and 1080° Avalanche were all shown along with the Wavebird wireless GameCube controller. Gameboy Advance games The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Doom II, and Super Monkey Ball Jr. were also shown. Nintendo also demonstrated the Gameboy Advance connection cable for GameCube.
2003
Nintendo put a focus on expanding the Mario franchise on GameCube with Mario Tennis, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, and Mario Kart Double Dash. Also shown were F-Zero and Pikmin 2.
2004
Nintendo features the Nintendo DS as the third tier, even though it went on to eventually replace the Gameboy Advance. The first trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was also shown. Other GameCube games like Advance Wars: Under Fire, Paper Mario 2, and Donkey Konga (with the bongo peripheral) were displayed.
2005
Nintendo unveils its newest home console, codenamed Revolution (later to become Wii), but they did not reveal the motion controller. The Gameboy Micro was also shown, which turned out to be the final design of the Gameboy franchise.
2006
Nintendo stole the show, according to many new outlets, with their display of the Wii. Along with their display of many Wii games, they chose not to unveil the final price. They also announced a release date for the Nintendo DS lite.
2007
Nintendo demoed three new peripherals; the Wii Balance Board (with the game Wii Fit), Wii Zapper, and Wii Wheel (with the game Mario Kart Wii). Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl were both given release dates.
2008
Nintendo announced Wii MotionPlus and Wii Speak peripherals. Wii Music, Shaun White Snowboarding, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Wii Sports Resort were also announced for Wii. GTA: Chinatown was also highlighted for Nintendo DS.
2009
Nintendo unveiled the Wii Vitality Sensor, which to this day, has not been seen again. New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Golden Sun DS, WarioWare D.I.Y., Wii Fit Plus, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid: Other M were also shown.
2010
Nintendo unveils their newest handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS, and surprised attendees by allowing them some hands-on time with the console. One of the biggest announcements was a Kid Icarus game for 3DS. They also demoed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Mario Sports Mix, Wii Party, Goldeneye 007, NBA Jam, Epic Mickey, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Metroid: Other M, and Donkey Kong Returns for Wii. Nintendo DS games Dragon Quest IX and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn were also highlighted.

This is pretty cool, no sarcasm. I mean, I survived those three weeks, just fine... and I get free games? Better than nothing, man.
They had also said something about getting PSN+ free for a month. Does that mean that we get the PSOne classics that are free for PSN+ members, for free, too? (I believe I once saw CTR: Crash Team Racing for free for PSN+ members.)

In addition to subverting our expectations with a "new" game from four years ago, DSiWare also hosts a shmup about conserving ammo.
Meanwhile, WiiWare features a game about ... pouring liquids. But, like, with puzzles and stuff.

Game Informer - 9.25/10 - "You can pick apart the small missteps in the nuts and bolts of The Witcher 2 all day, but you'd be missing the forest for the trees. I play role-playing games to explore fantastic worlds, interact with interesting characters, and pull off bada*s stunts that only a world-saving hero could accomplish. The Witcher 2 obliterates all but the best competition on those criteria. As frustrating as it can be at times, this adventure's charms vastly outweigh its warts."
IGN - 9/10 - "Combined with the remarkable environment design and to a lesser degree the decent writing and voice acting, the atmosphere of The Witcher 2 is one of unrivaled authenticity. The fast-paced swords and sorcery combat system, though not without quirks, provides plenty of entertainment, and the crafting and alchemy systems mean there's incentive to explore and collect. The Witcher 2 is alternately offensive and endearing, grimy and gorgeous, and never ceases to surprise. It's one of the great titles of 2011, and one of the best role-playing games in years."
Eurogamer - 9/10 - "Fans of RPGs should consider The Witcher 2 a must-buy. There's simply no competitor that can touch it in terms of poise, characterisation and storytelling, or the way in which it treats you not as a player - someone to be pandered to and pleased - but as an adult, free to make your own mistakes and suffer a plot in which not everyone gets what they deserve. Everybody else should approach excitedly, but with a little caution. The Witcher 2's opening ten hours are as impressive as they are clumsy, and a little patience is needed until the game hits its stride. What a stride, though. What bravery and gravity. With a little time investment, this game offers everything the fantasy genre can be."
GamePro - 5/5 - "The Witcher 2 embodies everything that's good about PC development, and everything that makes it, in my mind, the best platform out there. It tells a mature tale full of intrigue, mystery, and frustrating but satisfying combat, and while it is difficult (remember, there is no shame in playing on easy if you're having trouble; no one's going to take your gamer cred away from you for doing so), it's bound to please any RPG player who gives it a try."
