[Wii] Wii Mini officially announced
A new miniature-sized version of the Wii is being released exclusively in Canada on December 7th, Nintendo has confirmed. The appropriately named Wii Mini is both cheaper and smaller than the original console, retailing at just $99.

The Wii Mini has a brand new look, featuring a textured black matte finish on top that's incased in a red border with tapered edges. The package comes with red Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers.

What's the catch? The Wii mini console does not connect to the Internet or support online features in games. Gamecube support has also been scrapped in order to keep costs down.

No announcements have been made regarding other regions.
