[PS3,PSP] PSP Remaster Series Announced

[PS3,PSP] PSP Remaster Series Announced
Sony has announced a new series of remastered PSP titles that will be ported to the Playstation 3 starting first in Japan. This fits in nicely with earlier rumors of the God of War portable series coming enhanced to PS3.

The titles will include support for PS3 features such as Sixaxis support, new add-on content, and/or 3D support. Sony also mentioned that the save files will be transferable between the PSP and PS3 versions, indicating that players will be able to "enjoy the game on the go with the PSP system and continue the game at home on a large TV screen using PS3".

The first game announced was an HD version of Monster Hunter 3rd.

No other details were announced, including a possible release schedule for North America and Europe, were revealed at this time. The press release also uses the term "blockbuster games" indicating that perhaps only top-selling games will be remade for PS3.
