That's right, folks. BioWare have confirmed that Morrigan's fate is set to be decided in Dragon Age Inquisition; which is news that shouldn't really surprise anyone.

Speaking to Game Informer the game's writer, David Gaider, and creative director, Mike Laidlaw, also confirmed that her role would definitely be more than a cameo. Gaider and Laidlaw are pretty excited to bring Morrigan back to the forefront with the duo claiming that they the core elements of Inquisition's story since about "midway through Dragon Age: Origins."

Sadly she will not be a playable character, but don't let that news downplay the importance of her return.

"[Morrigan] has a human role in this plot, which I think may surprise some people because they might only think of her as a plot device," said Gaider. "She has this big plot she's involved in, and while that's true to an extent, I'm taking her to a human place. That will make sense after the fact."

Okay, BioWare, you've got my attention. I've been anxiously waiting to see what was actually happening with Morrigan since the Witch Hunt DLC was released for Dragon Age: Origins. In fact, one of my biggest complaints about Dragon Age II was the fact that this plot point was completely ignored in favour of the disappointing adventures of Hawke and his gang of misfits.

Do you care about Dragon Age Inquisition after Dragon Age II? BioWare is still staying considerably quiet concerning the game's mechanics, which worries me. If it plays like Dragon Age II then I'm afraid I'll be very disappointed.
