[PC, X1, X360] Game Informer app leaks Respawn's new game, Titanfall
Respawn Entertainment, founded by staff who experienced a rough split with Activision, is working with EA to create a new game. That used to be all that we knew about the game until today. [Image: game-news-image-2013-10ff304c1798227ebc2...c1e874.jpg]
Game Informer's Google Play app has leaked the next issue a little bit early; so early in fact that it has revealed the mysterious new game that has been kept under wraps at Respawn. I genuinely feel sorry for those at Game Informer because this leak has certainly ruined their day.

Titanfall is the name of Respawn's first game and it appears to be in development for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. You can get the full scoop over at NeoGAF in a thread where users have picked out a lot of information from the cover story. However, the key nuggets of information concern Respawn's plan to use Microsoft's Cloud for dedicated servers and physics/AI calculations. It will be a first-person shooter that also includes mech combat; these mechs are known as 'Titans' (hence the name) and will feel fast.

According to the piece the game is aiming for a Spring 2014 release. Respawn are working on the Xbox One and PC version; another studio is developing the Xbox 360 version.

Titanfall is exclusive because Respawn thought it'd be easier to start off their first game by focusing on a single platform; they are open to multiplatform after this is completed.

Keep your eyes out for this game during Microsoft's press conference; I bet they would have liked it to have stayed a secret as well.
