After the Japanese Nintendo Direct stream wrapped up a lengthy presentation concerning Dragon Quest X was shown. It seems like Square Enix are going out of their way to please as many fans as possible and are offering Dragon Quest IX-based character customisation, social spots such as customisable houses, and plenty of fields filled with very familiar monsters.
This is likely to be the Wii's swan song in Japan and is slated to be released on August 2. It will also include two hours of "kids time" free play each day as well, which is a nice addition.
