aborted split into two companies, said Netflix has no plans to offer video games right now, speaking in a Q4 investor meeting today. Hastings didn't offer more details on far-future plans, but he did confirm Netflix is investigating 3D streaming options to supplement its Blu-ray 3D disc service.

“Santa” gave my kids a Wii for Xmas this year, and I was planning on keeping the disc rentals by Netflix just so they can get video games. Considering that young kids rarely stick on one game for too long, it just made more sense to do it this way. Now that Netflix changed their mind, AGAIN, about what they’ll be doing it; seems like I can’t do that. So I’m sticking with my Blockbuster @ Home deal and just adding one more game onto it. I heard about this deal from a few co-workers at DISH and I decided that it sounded good enough to give it a try, and it’s making it so much easier to get rid of Netflix even though I was a long time customer.
