It is no secret that if a game is released by BioWare these days there is generally a lot of hype. Dragon Age II was no different, except for the fact that is is being released only eighteen months after the original game was shipped out.
Inon Zur, the composer of the game's musical score, has said that EA really pushed them to get the game out in order to capitalize on the original's success. The composer is anxious to take the game for a spin himself to see if any glitches pop up in relation to his musical score.
"I'm really looking forward to see it. I know there are a few bugs that still need to be fixed. Unlike other titles from BioWare, this [score] was kind of a rush job."
Whilst it isn't surprising that EA wanted to get the game ready as soon as possible, maybe they should have been a bit more relaxed about the whole process. It is worth noting that Inon Zur is only talking about the musical side of things, but who is to say there wasn't similar pressure on the development side.
Either way, the epic sequel is out now and you can check out the review roundup here. As for the score, I am finding myself quite charmed by it at the moment.
