The mysterious trademark that Square Enix filed awhile ago has come to fruition in the form of a name change. The PlayStation Portable title formerly known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII will now be known as Final Fantasy Type-0.

As well as the change in name, further details about the title were divulged. It will release on 2 UMDs and will contain over 30 fully voiced characters whom Square Enix are currently recording with "big name" voice actors. Type-0 will feature a new system, a single player game with multiplayer features built in to create an original play style.

The game is also no longer connected to Final Fantasy XIII in any way, which is why the name changed. This also explains why Square Enix trademarked Type-1, Type-2 and Type-3.

More news as it comes.
